There is so much junk on the internet it is hard to know what is reputable. It can also be daunting to find musical inspired products if you don’t really know where to look.

So to save you some headache, I went ahead and gathered a list of credible websites to shop for some of the cutest items. If you are shopping for someone else and have no idea what to get, I have some recommendations!

1. Little Shop of Broadway

This website has a ton of cute theater inspired apparel and more! I like that it has general theater items as well as specific musicals. Another nice feature is that you can request customized items.

The site is extremely easy to navigate. You can shop either by category or specific show which is really helpful based on your needs. And bonus for the ladies, they have fitted women’s shirts and V-necks which are not easy to find. I hate normal tees. I feel like I am choking! LOL

My fave are the ‘I wish I lived in a musical’ items that are so cute!

So if you are shopping for someone that is involved in musical theater or someone that loves to watch musical theater, this site may be for you!

2. TeeRico

OK, OK, so I MAY be a little impartial when it comes to Lin Manuel Miranda, BUT I love this website and bought several gifts off it last year for Christmas. I mean it does incorporate some of my favorite things: Broadway, LMM and being Latina!

The shop is ran by friends and family of Lin’s. Some of the proceeds go to various causes based on current and relevant needs, such as actors out of work, or at the time I purchased, relief to Puerto Rico. Many if the items are made from various artist’s orginal artwork. I love that he supports artists and people. This website really supports who LMM is. Oh and I love the fun that is poked at him at times too in these products!

But back to the task at hand, there is a lot to like about what is on this site. I really like thereally cute themed bracelets! And I am a sucker for the Love is Love is love.…products and anything that has to do with Puerto Rico!

If you know someone that follows Lin Manuel Miranda closely, or his shows, this site is for you.

3. Broadway by Design

You will find tons of cute Broadway swag ok this site for all ages! There are onsies, hoodies, tees for youth, women and men plus accessories for the majority of a particular pattern! This really makes it a site that caters to everyone’s needs! Plus you can order custom made products too!

The majority of the products reflect recent or popular modern shows. And you can create an account to make shopping easier and get on the newsletter. It doesn’t offer the products by show but rather by category, although I have found it easy to find items using the search.

I appreciate the style that cater to being a theater aficionado and for those theater kids.

A couple other things that stick out to me were the Dear Evan Hanson pillow and Broadway flannel pants. Oh and the wallets!

This site is really for just about anyone that enjoys musical theater! And if you aren’t sure what to get, you can buy a gift card!!

4. Playbill Store

If you love theater, you know about Playbill! Many of us theater fans collect programs for shows we like or have been to. And this website can help feed that collection offering as it sells playbills.

The options on this site are vast, likely due to it’s affiliation with Broadway. You will find much more than playbill branded items. There are different styles of clothes for everyone and for a much larger range of shows than the other sites mentioned. But the prices can get pretty steep too.

I love that you can find tons of sheet music on this site along with fantastic book options. And there is this super cute Mary Poppins umbrella I am eyeing.

If you are looking for specific show gifts, items particular to playbills or sheet music, this site is for you.

5. Redbubble

Ok, so this website I recently heard of even though it has been around since 2006. But I guess since it started out in Australia, it may have taken longer to become more popular in the states. Regardless of where it started, it is a global company and there are shipping and manufacturing locations all over.

This site appears to be similar to Etsy but instead of the sellers creating and producing their products, an artist uploads their design and Redbubble produces it once someone orders it! Pretty cool, right?!?!?

So I have loved poking around this site! There are so many amazing items. I love when art inspires more art! So although a ton of products are lyrics presented in different ways (which I am totally not against), there are a ton of products that offer some new and exciting perspectives and options for musical theater geeks!

I recommend this site for anyone! Especially if you love supporting small businesses and local artists or creators.

Honorable mentions

Ok so Etsy really deserves a place here as well. In line with Redbubble, there are many talented creators and artists out there that make amazing musical theater inspired swag. There are a few specific creators that I will write about in another post, however, a lot of the sellers create non-musical related items and throw in a few for this category. I would recommend just using the search bar and put in ‘Broadway’, ‘Musical theater’, ‘Musicals’or a specific show to help you find what you may be looking for.

I highly recommend shopping small business whenever possible but there are some fantastic options on Amazon as well.
