If that is you, and, you are not really feeling the whole going out and being exposed, then read on so you can still enjoy the time off with your kids! I have compiled a list of 14 super fun and fab ways to enjoy Spring Break with your family and not have to worry about those pesky germs!

Keep in mind many of these can be as simple or complex as you want them to be!

1. MOVIE MARATHON

Bring the theater to you! First you need to pick the movies. Then set the mood. And DO NOT forget the snacks! There is a TON of ways to make this be a fun and exciting event!

We often have family movies nights. It is actually a little tradition that we started the kids love! Our favorite is to turn off all the lights in the house and leave on the “movie lights”. This is just blue Christmas type lights strung around our family room that we leave up year round. We also HAVE to have our movie snacks! We buy Snowcaps on Amazon and snag candy deals in the big boxes you would find at a theater when they are on sale.

But the most exciting part is making fresh popcorn in our bigger carnival type popcorn machine. I highly recommend grabbing one. My husband bought me this one years back and we use it EVERY weekend and for every party. It is one of the most used gifts I have recieved and it has paid for itself in spades. If your are addicted to movie popcorn, this is for you!

You can also set up your movie on a projector screen if you have the proper space inside. Maybe even set it up outside.

Why not pick a theme based around a movie series and dress the part and create snacks based on that theme! Theme ideas: Lord of the Rings, Disney, Marvel characters, Adam Sandler movies, Star Wars, the list is endless!

I LOVE playing games! Our game shelves are well stocked for any occasion. Games are such a fun way to spend time and learn about your tribe. Pick out a few games to play. Set up the table with snacks and beverages. And let the games begin! You can even make it a tournament and get creative about what the winner(s) will receive (a pass on one of thier chores perhaps)! Some great family friendly games are: Charades, Heads Up, Trouble, Jenga and Monopoly. But their are plenty others!

Let out that inner child. Plus it is so fun for your kids to see their parents being silly. There are so many ideas on Pinterest and many of these can be made from items you already have in your home. A fan favorite is the one where you shake the balls out of a tissue box! So much of the laughing will be had with these games!

4. PICNIC

If the weather is nice enough, why not head our to the yard and have a picnic? You could do the whole legit style picnic. Make some killer sandwiches, add some great snacks and fill a thermos with lemonade or iced tea and you are all set. If you want to add to the fun, grab a frisbee, croquet set, soccer ball, nerf gun or whatever other outdoor games you have around to spend a little extra quality time together! Challenge: Try to make it a point NOT to go into the house.

5. Fun With Cooking

Get fancy or keep it simple with a family cooking night! First decide on a meal. You can assign a different section to each member to pick out ie. Son picks the main, mom picks the side, daughter picks the desert, dad picks the veggie, etc. Then work as a family to make an all star meal. Break out the fancy dishes!

If you don’t want to get all crazy with a bunch of different components, make pizzas! Everyone can add the toppings they like and pizzas are so fun! Your children will remember it. I know I remember the times we cooked together and they sit with many of my other favorite childhood memories.

Learn a new recipe or share a family recipe with your kids. This is an amazing bonding experience. Memories are always attached to the smell of fresh bakery. It can stick with you your whole life.
